Battered Women's Justice Project

Domestic Violence · California · Free

Working with criminal and civil court systems on domestic violence response. Useful for survivors whose abuser uses outing, dead-naming, or family-rejection threats as control tactics. Therapy groups for LGBTQ+ DV survivors are usually free, meet weekly, and meet either in person or online. Same-sex IPV often gets mis-categorized as 'mutual combat' by police unfamiliar with abuse dynamics; LGBTQ+-trained responders fix this. Free service; donations support but never gate access.
