1-888-234-7243 — free confidential peer support for LGBTQ+ adults age 50+. A starting point for adult children of LGBTQ+ parents needing eldercare resources sensitive to their parents' history. Caregiver support is built into most LGBTQ+ elder programs — partner-led care is acknowledged and supported. Many LGBTQ+ elders went back into the closet when they entered nursing homes; SAGE-trained facilities are growing but still rare. No cost — the program is grant-funded and confidentiality-protected.
