NCOA programs and resources for older adults including LGBTQ+ seniors. A starting point for adult children of LGBTQ+ parents needing eldercare resources sensitive to their parents' history. SAGE's National LGBTQ+ Elder Hotline (1-877-360-5428) staffs trained peer counselors weekdays. Many LGBTQ+ elders went back into the closet when they entered nursing homes; SAGE-trained facilities are growing but still rare. No cost — the program is grant-funded and confidentiality-protected.
