Federal initiative supporting LGBTQ+ older adult research and programs. For LGBTQ+ adults 50+ navigating aging, retirement, healthcare, housing, or end-of-life planning. SAGE's National LGBTQ+ Elder Hotline (1-877-360-5428) staffs trained peer counselors weekdays. Medicare and Medicaid cover gender-affirming care for elders in most states — including for people just starting transition late in life. No cost — the program is grant-funded and confidentiality-protected.
