Long-term care ombudsman services exist in every state — ask specifically about LGBTQ+ resident protections. Many LGBTQ+ elders went back into the closet when they entered nursing homes; SAGE-trained facilities are growing but still rare. Open at no cost to LGBTQ+ Arizona residents and the people supporting them.
